This week we lost a wonderful grandpa and great-grandpa! Daniel's grandpa Gene passed away at the age of 85. He was always a girky old man. In the last few years we have grown even closer with him as we would always pick him up and take him to Connies or out to eat as he couldn't drive. We will always remember him for calling the girls "boys" and so much more. Mary Kate is at the age where she really didn't understand, but she enjoyed seeing him and holding his hand! I am sure Grandma Connie will really miss him along with everyone else in the Bendlage/Parrott family. We love you Papa Gene!

I am so sorry for your loss. Mary Kate told me all about the party and that she said goodbye to him. It was sweet and you're right she doesn't get it at all.
Katie I love the picture! It brought tears to my eyes, but everything does when it comes to Uncle Gene.We're gonna miss him....
